STEFANO PARDI
BIO
From Ivrea, Stefano graduated with an MSc-Eng in Aerospace Engineering at Politecnico di Torino (Italy).
From 2013 Stefano has worked with Q.I. Composites in the field of non-destructive analysis, gaining expertise in composite materials. His wide experience ranges across automotive, motorsport and marine environments; from Formula 1 to the America’s Cup. He has recently worked on the last 2 Volvo Ocean Race campaigns and the America’s Cup as consultant for the Artemis Racing Team and Luna Rossa Challenge.
He has been a swimmer since he was 6 years old, he participated in the Life Saving World Championship. His other passion is racing rally and every now and again he finds time to race his 1968 Lancia Fulvia HF.
PIETRO CASSAN
BIO
From Genova, in 2015 Pietro graduated in Material Science at the Università di Genova.
After his studies he decided to deeply understand the building process of composite materials working in the production department at Persico Marine, where he has been involved in high tech manufacturing projects like the Wally 145 Kauris IV. Afterwards he becomes a globe trotter as Q.I. technician, facing with several “case studies” around the world, investigating the defects behaviours by means of non-destructive testing. He recently worked as NDT consultant on the last Volvo Ocean Race 2017-2018, one of the hardest and most exciting editions ever competed.
He is a surfer and a sailor since the year dot but above all, Pietro is a sea lover.
